Alex Chen Promoted to Director of Information Technology

Alex Chen has been selected as Omnitrans’ new director of information technology!
Alex will lead a team of nine to prepare Omnitrans for a sustainable future, including upgrading equipment on our buses and migrating our technology resources to cloud-based systems to maximize efficiencies and enhance data security.
“Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and technology experience to this role,” said Interim CEO/General Manager Erin Rogers. “His ability to provide reliable data from multiple internal sources will be a major asset in helping us make important business decisions to better serve our customers.”
A graduate of National Taiwan University, Alex began his career at China Petroleum Corporation, Taiwan’s largest state-owned enterprise, over 30 years ago. He joined Omnitrans in 2008 as Database Administrator, and most recently completed his second stint as interim director of information technology. Congratulations, Alex!
