Transit Driver Appreciation Day March 18

Mary and Jackson sbX BRTTransit drivers don’t have an easy job, they just make it look that way.

For hours on end, your coach operators manage to keep a schedule, check fares, give directions, announce stops, remember requests and more. They do all this while safely maneuvering an extra-large vehicle through unpredictable traffic, tough weather conditions and some really tight spaces. Needless to say, they deserve our thanks!

On March 18, join us in celebrating
our hard-working transit drivers.

That could be as simple as a smile and a wave as you’re boarding and a “thank you” when you leave. You can also submit an official commendation for a job well done, so your drivers can be formally recognized for their efforts. (You can do that any time of year!)

Spread the word! Share photos and shout-outs to your favorite bus driver on social media with hashtags #tdad and #omnitrans.

  1. I have nothing but respect for our front line employees, they are the reason our agency along with our customers exist. I was a Coach Operator at L.A. Metro and Omnitrans and have over 20 years driving in the seat. I still drive on occasion and know the challenges they face on a daily basis. It takes a special skill to be a Coach Operator and not everyone can do it. It’s a great idea to recognize them and give them a special day. Fleet Safety & Training Supervisor, Don Frazier
