Jerome Rogers Joins Omnitrans as New Director of Safety & Regulatory Compliance

At Omnitrans, there is no higher priority than the safety of our customers and employees, which is why we are very excited to welcome Director of Safety & Regulatory Compliance Jerome Rogers to the senior leadership team!
Jerome joins the Omnitrans family during a time in which his expertise is much needed. He has hit the ground running, immediately beginning work on our response to the COVID-19 health crisis. Jerome will also lead implementation of the Omnitrans Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan and all ongoing efforts to maintain our award-winning safety and security programs.
“Omnitrans has no higher priority than the safety of its customers and employees, so this director position is crucial,” said Interim CEO/General Manager Erin Rogers. “Jerome’s expertise and leadership will keep our agency at the forefront of industry safety initiatives.”

Jerome brings 15 years of safety experience to Omnitrans, seven of which were in the transit industry. He most recently served as regional safety director for Transdev, an operator of public transit and paratransit services. He is an OSHA Authorized Certified Instructor and belongs to various professional organizations, making him well qualified for the job.
Jerome is a graduate of DeVry University, and will earn his master’s degree in occupational health and safety from Columbia Southern University in 2021. In his spare time, Jerome works as a high school basketball referee, enjoys running, and volunteering at local youth centers. Welcome to Omnitrans, Jerome!
