Coach Operators Receive Awards for Safe Driving Record
March 17, 2020
Every year, Omnitrans recognizes drivers who have logged 25,000 driving hours over 12 years without a preventable accident. To illustrate this achievement – imagine driving from here all the way to the moon and back, not once, but twice! This is what it takes to enter the One Million Mile Club and receive this exceptional safety award.
The safety and security of our passengers and employees is of the utmost importance to us at Omnitrans, and it is important to recognize great accomplishments in this arena. This year, we are very proud to welcome four new coach operators – Joseph Sozanski, Cesar Aparicio, Edwin Alaniz, and Pete Aleman – to the prestigious ranks of the One Million Mile Club!
“Our community trusts Omnitrans to transport people safely, and that remains our top priority,” says Director of Operations Shawn Brophy. “The accomplishments of our One Million Mile Club drivers exemplify our commitment to fostering a safety culture through training and education that enforces vigilance and awareness for the protection of our drivers, passengers, and community at large.”
Each 2020 safety award winner received a special plaque, jacket, hat, belt buckle, certificate, a silver name plate, a day off with pay, and $500 in recognition of their great feat. Congratulations to our drivers for setting the standard of excellence! Their commitment to safety is greatly appreciated.
