Meet Akilah W., a freshman at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), pursuing her sociology degree. With dreams of becoming a mental health therapist for teenagers, Akilah is committed to making a difference in young people’s lives. She eventually plans to continue her education and pursue her master’s degree at CSUSB, all while balancing the demands of her undergraduate studies.
Akilah’s journey at CSUSB began just recently, and with it came her introduction to Omnitrans. Living close to campus, she made the decision to start riding the bus instead of dealing with the challenges of parking, gas, and vehicle maintenance. “Not having to worry about paying for a parking pass or keeping up with car expenses makes it easier to focus on school,” she says.
