The safety and security of our customers and employees is paramount, always making Security Specialist Dylan Firth’s job a crucial piece of the Omnitrans puzzle. This quarter, however, Dylan has excelled in his role, earning him distinction as the Employee of the Quarter. Dylan continuously worked behind the scenes to ensure that all employees remained safe and secure at all Omnitrans facilities. This included regularly coming into work before his scheduled time and often staying late to make sure there were no gaps in security services during a transitional period.
Dylan meticulously oversaw the implementation of a new security services contract , ensuring a smooth transition for employees and customers. Dylan draws upon his years of experience in safety and security to provide timely insight and leadership to his team of contracted security personnel, who monitor both of our administrative facilities, as well as the San Bernardino Transit Center.

How long have you worked at Omnitrans?
I have been on the Omnitrans staff for a little over a year and a half. However, I have been onsite at Omnitrans continuously since 2014, working for the companies that were contracted to provide security for Omnitrans.
What did you go before coming to Omnitrans?
Before my position as Omnitrans’ Security Specialist, I was the contact Account Manager for the security service provider for nearly 7 years.
What do you like best about working for Omnitrans?
I enjoy learning about and utilizing advancing technology to protect the agency, such as our revamped CCTV system, and 3-wheel patrol units at the San Bernardino Transit Center.
What is your most memorable moment on the job?
Working alongside local law enforcement partners to provide training on emergency operations of our coaches.
What is your most notable achievement?
Successfully managing the contracts for Security Services and our recent agencywide CCTV upgrades.
Do you have any hobbies when you’re not working? When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family and enjoy building and using computers, amateur woodworking, driving my 1971 Ford Mustang, and Airsoft.
