February 21, 2023
How long have you worked at Omnitrans? 22 years
What did you do before coming to Omnitrans? I was a stay-at-home mom and a security guard.
What do you like best about working for Omnitrans? I love having the opportunity to make someone’s day a little bit easier. I enjoy showing kindness, giving excellent customer service, and I love being able to drive a 40-foot bus.
What is your most memorable moment on the job? I just graduated from the Coach Operator class and was sent out on my first shift. I got lost and I was very disappointed and discouraged. I got back to the yard and told the dispatch officer everything that happened. He gave me encouraging words ”hang in there kid because you’re doing the same route tomorrow!”
When I launched my first book! My co-workers supported me in a way that was so amazing! They rallied around me and let me know how proud they were. So many of my co-workers bought and read the book and it made my heart smile. They are like family to me!
What are your most notable accomplishments? Becoming a life coach, being the owner of Beauty for Ashes Coaching, being a professional operator for 22 years, and writing my first book “Letters to my mother“.
Do you have any hobbies when you’re not working? Reading books, solving puzzles, and fishing.
Anything else you would like others o know about you? I believe in God. The father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. I have my own business, Beauty for Ashes. I am a personal development coach, and my mission is to help people to learn how to deal with life issues, focusing on young adults and single mothers and fathers to build confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, and self-awareness. I am also the mother of three amazing children and the grandmother to two precious little ones. I am a self-published author of my first book, Letters to My Mother”, with many more books to come in the future!
